Mechanical Design Engineer (Mining)

Join a global Engineering business where your Mechanical Design expertise will influence major mining projects and the next generation of heavy-duty equipment. Design bespoke machinery, optimise equipment and develop plant layouts and solutions, using FEA and DEM to understand structural loads and material flow and improve equipment performance.

• BEng or BSc Mechanical Engineering degree
• 5 - 10 years' experience in mechanical design, with strong mining industry exposure
• Confident hands-on experience with FEA and DEM simulations, using these tools to influence design
• Experience with heavy-duty mining equipment, materials handling, plant layouts and/or conveyor systems
• Collaborative, commercially aware engineer who communicates confidently and is willing to engage with clients and visit sites
