Job Summary
The Frontline Process Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of their crew and their assigned area of the processing facilities (crusher, leach pads, Merrill Crowe, and refinery). They are expected to effectively lead their crew to achieve all targets and goals. They are accountable for all personnel, including contractors, within their designated areas and are responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards in the process area.
Responsibilities
- Coach, train, mentor and evaluate training requirements for each member of their crew.
- Execute, track and ensure compliance with the progression policy for employees.
- Lead the crusher circuit teams, and coordinate production goals in conjunction with maintenance priorities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize daily plant performance, and crusher circuit tonnage outputs.
- Communicate operating plans and standards to crew.
- Work with the technical staff to optimize plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with SOP’s.
- Understand and report variances from plan.
- Support special projects when needed.
- Develop short-term plans to achieve production targets.
- Ensure execution of routine monitoring and data collection activities, including sampling, inspections, production logs, and rounds.
- Ensure all crew members understand the environmental requirements applicable to their job and work area.
- Know and understand all permit limits for assigned areas of responsibility, in particular all operating parameters for the air and water permits.
- Ensure required environmental monitoring, data collection and sampling occurs.
- Participate in regulatory audits when appropriate.
- Ensure completion of all assigned non-compliance environmental items, either from internal or regulatory audits.
- Participate and/or lead field risk assessments or formal risk assessments for specific jobs where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance to all MSHA items by crew, including training requirements, shift inspections, housekeeping, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process operations including, leach pad, Merrill Crowe plant and refinery procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years in a process leadership position.
- Comprehensive understanding of MSHA and ADEQ safety and environmental compliance in process operations, and precious metal mining.
- Experience with Crusher Circuit and the ability to lead operators in the accomplishment of required tonnage goals.
- Must be a U.S Citizen or I-9 compliant and able to legally work within the United States.
Working Conditions & Environment
Environment: This position requires working in both office and field settings. Conditions include hot desert temperatures that are often above 100 degrees, exposure to wind, dust, industrial noise, and varying weather conditions.
Location: The Moss Mine Complex is located approximately (7) miles east of Bullhead City, AZ in the Mojave Desert.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods (1-3 hours) and walk on uneven surfaces, including moderate inclines and declines of up to approximately a 10% grade. The role also involves occasionally lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
