Job Description
The Mine Truck Driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the mining operations team. This job consists primarily of operating a tandem dump truck to transport clay and other raw materials from the mine stockpiles to the plant mixing operation. The Mine Truck Driver may also operate a water truck to control dust on mine roads leading to the brick manufacturing plant.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 5PM, timing could change depending on production. Saturday work is sometimes required.
Essential Functions

- Operate company-owned trucks in a constant state of alertness and safe manner to facilitate material transport.
- Properly follow company and MSHA safety procedures.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the superintendent; clean equipment as required.
- Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job assignments and training.
- Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
- Assist in training lower-level employees in the operation, maintenance, and repair duties as required or assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, twisting.
- Lifting and carrying materials up to50-100 pounds, occasionally.
- Climbing stairs and ladders as needed
- Repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to work in environments with elevated temperatures
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing environment
- Exposure to dust, heat, steam, and noise
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots

- Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Ability tomaintainattention to safety and quality standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret operational manuals, production schedules, and safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for long periods, and work in varied environments (heat, dust, noise)
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to pass all required safety training.
