Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Predictive Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance team at Phoenix. Reporting to the Reliability Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will collect and analyze condition-monitoring data across a wide range of process equipment, helping the site catch equipment issues before they become failures.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data on all types of process equipment using predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Perform vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and additional non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods.
  • Create and maintain databases for each predictive maintenance technology.
  • Generate and distribute condition and follow-up reports to all levels of management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Proven safety record required.
  • Excellent attendance record required.
  • Previous training and experience applying predictive maintenance technologies and associated software and hardware preferred.
  • Industrial maintenance skills equivalent to four (4) years as a journeyman preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of process equipment preferred.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • CAT II or CAT III Vibration Analysis certification.
  • Infrared Thermography certification.
  • Ultrasound (UE) certification.
  • Oil Analysis certification.
  • Rotor balancing experience.
  • MT/PT certification.
  • RDI certification.
  • UT Level I or II certification.
  • Experience with SKF Aptitude Analyst, DBX, Microlog, or similar condition monitoring platforms.
  • Previous mining process plant experience, including troubleshooting and inspection of rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, agitators, and fans.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent CMMS software.

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018. Three of these assets are Tier One gold mines: Barrick's Cortez; the combination of Barrick's Goldstrike and Newmont Goldcorp's Carlin; and the combination of Barrick's Turquoise Ridge and Newmont Goldcorp's Twin Creeks.
