Production Drill Operator

The Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million-dollar fleet of specialized underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Production Drill Operators – to join our project in Saudi Arabia on 6 weeks on 3 weeks off roster.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Longhole Drillers to join our project in Saudi Arabia.

Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the safe operation of Longhole Drill rigs in stoping activites.
• Ability to read and accurately follow drill plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design, gradient and profile.
• Able to effectively communicate with surveyors, geologists and engineers to make changes to drill plans as needed, to meet production targets.
• Training of other trainee longhole drill operators through example and instruction

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

• 7 years experience in an underground mining environment.
• 3 years' minimum operating a Sandvik DL331-5C
• International Mining experience working in Africa, Middle east or Asia
• A current passport
• A commitment to safe work practices
• Be self-motivated and willing to liaise and interact with local cultures
