Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Service Crew Operators to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of underground mining activities.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Service Crew Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting underground development and production crews through the installation, maintenance and repair of critical underground infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain underground mine services including air, water, ventilation and dewatering systems
  • Install poly pipe, steel pipe, valves, pumps and associated infrastructure
  • Construct and maintain ventilation controls including vent bags, brattices and bulkheads
  • Carry out concrete works, barricade construction and other underground construction activities
  • Operate integrated tool carriers (ITs), telehandlers, scissor lifts and other underground support equipment
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
  • Support development and production crews with service-related requirements
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
  • Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards underground


Qualifications

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous underground mining experience in a Service Crew role
  • Experience installing and maintaining underground mine services
  • Experience operating ITs, telehandlers, EWP/scissor lifts or similar underground equipment
  • Strong understanding of underground mining operations and safety requirements
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment
  • Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets
  • Current Australian work rights
  • Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
