Surface Labourer for Underground Area

Schedule: 7 days in / 7 days off - 7am - 7pm

Position Reports To: Underground Senior General Supervisor

Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior General Supervisor, Surface Labourer for Underground Area will assist and support the logistic coordinator with material movements and maintain the Underground complex and laydown area. Along with snow removal, sanding of parking area's and roadways. Keeping walkways clear during winter month along with organization of the laydown and waste management in the underground area.

Key Responsibilities

• Dedication to safety, equipment care, and the environment
• Fueling and greasing of equipment
• Loading and offloading of transport trucks.
• Staging of Materials in proper locations.
• Responsible for organization and upkeep of Underground laydown area
• Ensure surface refuse and recycling bins are dumped in the transfer station bins with use of a loader
• Sorting of returnable items (pallets, Shotcrete bags, Cable Spools)
• Delivering parts from warehouse to various parts of the site
• Snow clearing (loader) as well as shoveling around doors and walkways during winter months.
• Site services include but not limited to overall appearance and cleanliness of site, parking lot and roads in the Underground area

Compensation:

The anticipated salary for this position will be between $58,000 to 61,000.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Grade 12 diploma is considered an asset.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
