YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Survey Lead, you will be part of the Engineering department and collaborate with other departments of the mine. You will prioritize and execute most of the mine production tasks. You must work independently and, in a team, and show autonomy to help clients identify the next steps for production and ensure adequate service quality. You must be able to recognize, analyze, and adapt to differences between design and field realities and communicate specifics to the clients involved. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

- Ensure Health and Safety of teammates and himself by using, promoting and by documenting the work card, employing the supervision formula;
- Execute daily tasks for the survey team based on tasks priorities of the production including but not limited to grade shots, water elevations surveys, drill pattern stakeout, clean-up requirements, field limits, drone aerial surveys, etc.;
- Acquire expertise with the various programs used in the survey department including but not limited to AutoCAD, Deswik & Trimble software;
- Ensure survey quality of every field survey job and regular update of all the surface earthwork performed (Ore & Waste stockpiles, roads, piping, electrical cables, etc.) including management of excavation permits;
- Stake out and survey of location and orientation of diamond drill holes (mostly surface and occasionally underground if required);
- Survey of tailings storage facility, measurement of surface water levels and monitoring of dikes;
- Data entry, layouts update and instrumentation field readings as requested by Coordinators;
- Perform month end process, 3D modeling, layouts and be involved in different special projects;
- Support the Underground survey team if needed;
- Promote Health and Safety by participating in the monthly Departmental H&S meeting.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- College degree in mining/civil engineering/geomatics or DVS in Surveying and Topography;
- Mining experience in a similar role is an asset;
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, with an ability to motivate and work in a team environment;
- Experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Excellent safety habits, be safety conscious and display safe work practices;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite & AutoCAD, Deswik & Trimble software knowledge is an asset;
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken;
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d’Or, Quebec.
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
