Responsibilities
About the Role
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of haul trucks within a large-scale open cut mining environment. You will play a key role in supporting production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate haul trucks in accordance with site procedures.
- Transport ore and waste material to designated dump locations.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects.
- Utilise MineStar GPS technology to accurately haul material.
- Maintain situational awareness and identify potential hazards.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within a production mining team.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and operational standards.
Qualifications
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous haul truck or heavy machinery operating experience (highly regarded).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, accountability and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work a rotating 14/14 roster.
- Current driver's licence.
- Motivation to contribute to a productive and professional mining operation.
