About the Role

WorkPac are seeking an Asset Management Specialist to join Rio Tinto's Asset Management & Engineering Services team in Perth to drive a consistent, consolidated outlook on asset management risk across the business. This role is based in Perth and will require regular monthly travel to site in order to successfully deliver the annual Assurance Calendar. This position is a great opportunity to develop your career into asset risk and assurance and deliver key initiatives within the Asset Management & Engineering Services 2020 strategic plan.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner with regional teams to efficiently deploy the Assurance Calendar, including the completion of assurance activities against Rio Tinto Asset Management standards and asset integrity assessments.
  • Identify RTIO asset risks and govern the implementation and assurance processes to monitor controls.
  • Verify that asset integrity assessment risks are linked to sustaining capital decisions.
  • Provide regional teams with the process and tools to capture risks in a consistent framework.
  • Coordinate the Critical Risk Assessment Program for Asset Management & Engineering Services.
  • Continuously improve RTIO???s Asset risk management framework.
  • Support development in processes and tools to capture risks across the wider business.


Skills & Experience
  • Substantial experience with engineering in mining and asset management.
  • Experience in asset management in an operational environment.
  • Proven influencing, stakeholder engagement and change management capability.
  • Strong group facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of competency in MS office suite of applications.
  • Competency in the delivery of process improvement / business change related initiatives.
  • Skills in PowerBI and MS Project will be highly regarded.
