An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced mining professional to lead a large underground operation, overseeing production, mining strategy, safety compliance, financial performance and multidisciplinary teams. This executive role requires a decisive leader who can deliver operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, manage major capital projects and build a high-performance culture while ensuring full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and all regulatory requirements.
- Degree or National Higher Diploma in Mining Engineering or Geology, together with a Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (MMCC).
- Experience within narrow vein gold mining is imperative
- Minimum 10 years' underground hard rock mining experience, including at least 5 years in a Mine Manager role with a previous or current 3.1 Legal Appointment.
- Proven experience managing large underground mining operations, production targets, operational budgets, capital projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), regulatory compliance, risk management and world-class safety leadership.
- A self-driven, hands on, ethical and decisive leader with exceptional integrity, strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
