We are looking for a talented professional to staff the position: Global Negotiations Advisor – Mobile Assets, reporting to the Global Sourcing Sr. Manager, is responsible to support for the overall management and delivery of the strategic sourcing of mobile equipment and tire demands to assure the business continuity with the lowest possible cost. This person must support the global negotiations and sourcing strategies for mobile equipment and tires attaching to the global sourcing methodology. She / He needs to get prepared and execute complex negotiations performing total cost benefit analysis and even making final supply recommendations to the business. As a change agent supporting major commercial decisions across a diverse set of stakeholders, the Global Negotiations Advisor must possess excellent project management, collaboration and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support a culture of procurement excellence so that procurement is viewed as a strategic partner, commercially responsible for procurement of mobile equipment categories in CEMEX
  • Build internal capability (encompassing people, processes and technologies) across procurement to identify supply partners that position for optimal growth and profitability
  • Provide leadership on spend analysis, strategic sourcing, sourcing project management and other technologies that can lower the total cost of ownership
  • Develop the high level spend analysis and procurement category plan including the approach for large contracts and the plan to improve TCO at every CEMEX country. Follow and track category plans including milestones, savings targets, resource requirements and implementation plans
  • Support the development of Market Intelligence and request for proposal (RFP) strategies; manage development of Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents to be distributed to qualified suppliers
  • Lead detailed comparison of supplier RFQ responses (“bid tab analysis”); structure analyses to help stakeholders compare strengths and weaknesses of suppliers and their proposals
  • Development of negotiation strategy; leverage Sourcing methodology for advanced cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help stakeholders understand trade‐offs and business benefits of various negotiation strategies/outcomes
  • Lead negotiations with shortlisted suppliers; communicate results to business; develop final sourcing recommendation(s) and ensure broad support among stakeholders
  • Make award notification(s); continue to lead Strategic Sourcing project through contracting, confirming that negotiated outcomes are properly reflected in final contract language
  • Track financial results, implementation performance and supplier performance; identify gaps and variances in performance and make adjustments to restore performance to plan
  • Manage supplier performance to meet defined business requirements
  • Monitor external markets for commercial opportunities and challenges, identify and resolve gaps between business requirements and supplier performance and identify and resolve gaps in business unit compliance with procurement policies, programs and contracts. Pinpoint the required resources for resolution and escalating issues as required
  • Influence on new products or technologies to be tested in the operations and sign off by end users in global operations


Internal: The Global Negotiations Advisor will interact with all business sectors inside CEMEX, Aggregates, Cement, Logistics, Ready-Mix and others at all CEMEX Countries at managerial and decision makers level.

External: Interaction with Key Account stakeholders at VP and Director levels of top leading industry Companies such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, XCMG, Doosan, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, Paccar, MAN, FOTON, Sinotruk, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Triangle, Liugong, Zoomlion among other global vendors
