The Role
Glencore North Queensland Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join our team, reporting to the Contracts and Procurement Superintendent. This role will work across all of the North Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales Copper and Zinc sites, including Mount Isa Mines, George Fisher Mine and Macarthur River Mine. The work will include tasks across operational mine sites and involve interactions between operational personnel and strategic personnel across the sites.

This is a newly created role to fill existing gaps in our contract management and contractor management processes and offers a fantastic learning opportunity for anyone who seeks a challenge. The role is based residentially in Mount Isa, working a 5/2, 4/3 (9-day fortnight) lifestyle roster.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Scheduling and attending periodic contract review meetings
  • Auditing of contracts and associated documentation
  • Management of contractual KPIs and any periodic pricing formulae
  • Maintaining of the contracts database
  • Monitoring of contract spend leakage
  • Manage the product change process
  • Driving contractor and contract compliance
  • A hands on approach, visiting sites and stakeholders regularly

We are looking for someone with:
  • Demonstrated efficiency using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or currently studying
  • Excellent customer service delivery and organisational skills
  • The ability to meet set deadlines and prioritise activities where required
  • Exposure to supervising and managing contract works
  • Have strong communication skills both written and verbal
