Overview

Downer Defence Systems seek experienced Defence Project, Capability and Acquisition specialists in Western Australia (WA) as we enhance our support to Defence programs (current and future) across project management, warfighter/ platform capability and acquisition, costing/analytics, ILS, project scheduling, risk and governance best practice methodologies, etc. Initial preference will be given to individuals with a Defence LAND OR MARITIME projects background.

Positions Required

Downer Defence Systems is currently seeking experienced individuals with one or more of the following skill sets:
  • Project capability and acquisition management - including scheduling, planning, Capability LifeCycle (CLC) and project sustainment (including costing)
  • Contents management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • ILS and Asset Management/etc
  • Configuration management
  • Maintenance scheduling, management
  • Maritime (Navy) experience
  • RAM/ Maritime Systems Engineering
  • Commercial and procurement management

Experience/Skills Sought

Successful candidates will ideally possess the following:
    • Qualifications/certifications in respective disciplines.
    • Experience and familiarity with Defence projects, acquisition activities and capability planning.
    • Experience and familiarity with the Defence Capability Life Cycle.
    • Technical knowledge of military systems.

About You

    • An experienced project professional who is looking to develop their career in a prominent professional services business.
    • Understanding & practical experience working within major/ minor Defence projects, quality assurance, business improvement and risk management process and practices to deliver effective client solutions and outcomes.
    • Experience in building trusted & valued relationships with project team members, customers & partners.
    • Ideally hold a security clearance of NV1 or greater (or the ability to obtain security clearance).
