Roles: Electrical & Mechanical Engineer (Narrabri, NSW)

An opportunity has become available for an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our Narrabri Underground team. You will be accountable for providing support to the Mining Engineering Services team whilst working in an underground Longwall coal mine. Reporting to the Manager Electrical Engineering and Manager Mechanical Engineering respectively these roles are required to;
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the various Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering functions over a mine or large industrial site
  • Be proficient with Project Planning tools
  • Carry out a variety of Engineering tasks and cover related roles during employee absences
  • Develop, implement and manage projects as required.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Narrabri Underground and Surface Operations team
  • It would be an advantage to have working knowledge of an underground coal mine, and u/g surface functions, however this is not essential



Candidate Specifications

The successful applicants will possess the following qualifications and qualities:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines
  • Experience in the underground coal mining industry is desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a variety of tasks
  • Well organised and energetic approach to working
