Position Overview

In this position, the Document Control Specialist will support and assist the Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers with the management of engineering documents in accordance with government/company regulations for various permanent design projects.

District Overview

Clients turn to Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) during all stages of design-build projects to manage their multi-disciplined design teams, improve scheduling, control costs, and minimize risk. We call it Construction-Focused Engineering. Our team performs and manages the design on infrastructure projects of all sizes throughout the company. Our staff collaborates with and leads design and construction teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and innovative designs that achieve client expectations and further Kiewit's legacy of excellence.

This position is based out of our office in Englewood, CO

Responsibilities

The Document Control Specialist 1 position is primarily responsible for processing and managing internal and external distribution of engineering documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows, and preparing transmittals for document distribution, as directed. Other duties include updating and maintaining engineering document management systems; updating and maintaining various distribution matrixes and document trackers for the engineering records; and, following processes and standards to ensure adherence to project requirements. Work is performed under supervision. Position to work from the Englewood, CO office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in information management, information technology, data management, or computer information systems
    • ​​​​​​​ Alternatively, Associates Degree with 2 years electronic document control experience, preferably within construction industry
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to:
    • identify and utilize the correct tools, systems and techniques to index, file and control engineering documents
    • remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements
    • multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues
    • work independently
    • effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment

Preferred Experience
  • Software Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet
  • EDMS such as SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum
