HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

Want to be on solid ground and drive large equipment for your career? Be a Dragline Operator! You can't get anything more solid or larger than that! As a Dragline Operator, your primary function is to operate power-driven crane equipment with a dragline bucket to excavate or move sand, gravel, mud, dirt or other materials.
 
This position will be based in Athens, IL 
 
  • Assist in greasing, cleaning, oiling, and performing minor repairs on equipment.
  • Maintain constant communication with all other operators.
  • Assist other operators or maintenance personnel when heavy or awkward duties are required.
  • At the start of the shift perform a pre-shift inspection.  
  • At the end of the shift park and report defects to the supervisor.
  • Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations including but not limited to: wearing property safety gear and attending safety meetings, perform pre-trip inspections, complete vehicle inspection reports, and report unsafe conditions and accidents.
  • Proactively manage the health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health and safety performance.
 
HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 
 
  • High school diploma or general education (GED) preferred.
  • Availability to work overtime and multiple shifts as needed.
  • Working knowledge of equipment operation and open-pit mining preferred.
  • Must be able to carry 50 pounds.
  • MSHA - trained a plus.
  • Complies with all State, federal and local guidelines.
