Position Summary
The Deputy Director – Underground Mining Operations is responsible for supporting the Mine Director in leading the safe, efficient and profitable development and operation of a large-scale underground mining project. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across all underground mining activities from mine development through to steady-state production.
The successful candidate will ensure world-class safety performance while delivering production targets, operational excellence, workforce capability and continuous improvement across all underground functions.
The role is particularly suited to professionals with experience in underground gold, copper, polymetallic or nickel operations in tropical or remote environments across Southeast Asia, Australia, Africa or South America.
