Redpath Mining is seeking experienced Charge Up Operators to join our underground teams across the Norseman region. Working on a 7/7 roster, you'll support blasting activities safely and efficiently while contributing to a strong safety and team culture.

Redpath Mining is seeking experienced Charge Up Operators to join our underground teams across the Norseman region. Working on a 7/7 roster, you'll support blasting activities safely and efficiently while contributing to a strong safety and team culture.
Responsibilities
- Carry out Charge Up operations in line with site procedures and blast designs
- Handle, transport, and use explosives safely and compliantly
- Perform charging, priming, tie‑ins, firing and misfire management
- Maintain accurate records and complete all safety documentation
- Conduct pre-start checks, workplace inspections (Take 5's, JSAs)
- Ensure work areas are barricaded and signposted correctly
- Work closely with supervisors, surveyors and production teams
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately
- Support continuous improvement and safe work practices across the team
Qualifications
- Previous underground Charge Up / Blasting experience
- Current WA Shotfirer's Licence (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Manual Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow procedures
- Able to work independently and as part of a small crew
- A strong safety mindset aligned with Redpath's values
