About the Role

WorkPac has an employment opportunity for a Heavy Duty Fitter at the FMG Christmas Creek workshop located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Reporting to the site's Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out the mechanical & breakdown repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnostics on Truck & Ancillary fleet as well as performing duties in and around designated fuelling areas. The fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience on are:
  • CAT 777, 785, 789 & 793 Trucks
  • CAT 992, 993 & 994 Loaders
  • CAT D10, D11 Dozers
  • CAT 16, 24 series Graders
Skills & Experience
  • Relevant Australian recognised trade certification
  • 2 + years post trade experience in a similar role
  • Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
  • Experience in mining production or heavy industrial environment
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting heavy equipment on board electronic & remote monitoring systems
