Location: Kermit, TX
Load Term: Full Time


Responsible for operating a large 90,000 lb, 306 hp or similar class excavator efficiently in a high production environment. Also responsible for operating various equipment such as Backhoe, Loader, Dozer, Blade, Skid Steer and other miscellaneous equipment. Must possess a positive attitude to support Company goals and objectives and be knowledgeable and experienced in safe work practices with a desire to be a top safety performer.

  • Safe & efficient operation of excavator in a high-production environment. Must be able to safely load a 45 ton off-road mining haul truck in less than 120 seconds.
  • Safe & efficient operation of haul trucks, water trucks, loaders, dozers, graders & scrapers to meet production targets
  • Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
  • Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting & logging maintenance requirements or concerns
  • Complete production reporting and other documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all Company, customer, and legislated safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Serve as an excellent Company ambassador and safety champion at all times.


  • 2+ years of 0,000 lb, 306 hp or similar class excavator experience
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy mobile equipment operation in a surface mining environment
  • Knowledge of safe and productive operation of Cat equipment
  • Must possess a valid Class C driver's license or greater
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background screen and physical requirements
  • Ability to be a team leader in all safety aspects of the position
  • Must possess the ability to operate equipment in the presence of field crew members and utilities, ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property and utilities in the area
  • Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices associated with heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and in a dusty environment
