Hatch is currently looking for a HSEQ Graduate to assist with Health, Safety, Environment & Quality initiatives within the Australia-Asia region. The role will support as directed, the HSE and Quality Leads and assist with the implementation of Hatch standards across internal initiatives and projects. The successful candidate must be adaptable, self-motivated, have the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment, and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in promoting an active health and safety culture;
  • Provide health & safety, environmental and quality advice for staff and managers;
  • Assist in implementing Hatch standards and contribute to the continuous enhancement of these standards;
  • Conduct safety audits; Safety Mgt Plan development for projects & safety initiatives;
  • Co-ordinated and conduct quality audits;
  • Interface with field staff and support project site work as necessary;
  • Provide administrative support;
  • Promote effective communication and dissemination of relevant health and safety information;
  • Coordinate health and safety training;
  • Keep abreast of developments in health and safety legislation and practice, and act upon any changes accordingly;
  • Prepare reports on health and safety.


Qualifications:
  • Completed or actively pursuing a degree or certificate in OH&S, environmental control and sustainability, quality management and control or a similar discipline;
  • Understanding of worker safety standards and their applications, and a willingness to learn;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.);
  • Must be able to work in a team environment;
  • Extracurricular involvement; enthusiastic and ambitious;
  • Creative problem solving ability;
  • Outward facing with good interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated with good organizational capability.
