Job Overview

To insure the quality of service parts purchased from vendors and/or corporate manufacturing plants.


This position is responsible to provide support to all Reman suppliers regarding all technical data including BOM's, blue prints, test specifications, assembly/disassembly data, and interchangeability of components. 2000 requests annually.

This position provides technical support to the Part Technical Team regarding new parts introduction, parts & service bulletins, rework, ERL and supersession processing. This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Purchasing function regarding the development of new sources as required to maintain proper percent of fill and MPV goals.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide quality assurance services to Warehouse personnel, Material Management, Customer Service, Corporate Engineering, and the K.A.C. Distributor Network.
  • Provide acceptance or reflection of parts based on compliance to specifications.
  • Maintain inspection files recording results of inspection process.
  • Responsible to follow up on return of rejected material to suppliers to ensure orderly flow of material.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor


  • Extensive oral and written contact with in-house personnel, vendors/corporate personnel, and KAC Distributor Network.
  • Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma GED equivalent
  • Must be able to fully interpret technical data and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, rulers, surface hardness testers and other tools used in dimensional inspection.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both oral and written.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be capable of understanding or have current knowledge of various computer systems application.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations within the facility and the ability to stand, walk stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weight items of 20-30 pounds. Infrequently handle medium to heavy weight items of 35-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
