Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Safety Intern to support our Longview, Texas operations. This position will be a temporary position and requires eligiblity to work in the United States. The internship will be paid.


Work safe and be an advocate for safety. Drive culture of Zero Harm.

Creating, tracking and communicating effective OS&H trainings.

Organize, document and complete OS&H audits.

Maintain OS&H presence on the shop floor and convey issues/concerns.

Education / Qualification

- Advanced knowledge in safety training for OSHA General Industry and Construction standards.

-Experience creating, tracking and presenting OS&H trainings.

-Experience using a variety of learning/training concepts and principles along with a knowledge of adult learning.

-Detail oriented and have the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite proficiently and learn internal database programs.

-Experience in organizing, documenting and completing OS&H observations and audits.

-Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences.

-Ability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instructions accurately.

-Possess ability to meet work goals / dead lines and convey issues in a timely manner.

-Ability to work long and irregular/flexible hours.

-Facilitate accident investigation process and track countermeasures to completion.

-Bilingual strongly preferred. (Spanish)

-Minimum of Freshman or Sophmore academic standing (College-level)

-Required coursework: Occupational Safety and Health or related field

-Pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling and repetitive motion expected.

-Ability to lift 50 lbs required.

-Ability to use hand and power tools, equipment and machines and operate equipment required.
