About the role

As our next Mining Leading Hand reporting to the Mining Supervisor and based on our new mining project in the Brockman area, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

With a FIFO roster from Perth, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.

Some of your duties will include;
  • Provide leadership to crew of mobile plant operators; following superintendent and supervisor directives
  • Assist in coordinating weekly and daily operational activities
  • Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
  • Participate in all pre-start and tool box meetings with the work crew with special attention given to the safety conditions and requirements in the work area
  • Ensure that all work completed is carried out as per Thiess and Client approved Standards, Process and Procedures
  • Act with Honestly, Integrity and fairness, in accordance with the Code of Business Conduct and our values ensure a workplace free of discrimination and harassment;

About you
  • Previous Leading hand experience
  • S1, S2 & S3 valid tickets
  • Substantial operational experience with with heavy Mining-class mobile equipment
  • Supporting RIIs or Site Authorisations (SSC)
  • Current open class driver's licence
  • Standard 11 Mine Safety Induction (Surface)
