The Role: Maintenance Fitter (Tarrawonga, NSW)
We are currently looking for experienced Maintenance Fitters to join our team at our Tarrawonga Maintenance team.

This role will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work as part of the maintenance team supporting the operation with maintenance which is conducted 7 days 24 hrs per day.

You will utilise your technical expertise to conduct mechanical work onsite in line with the maintenance schedule and assisting with break downs. Tarrawonga operates a fleet of Caterpillar trucks, Terex and Hitachi excavators and a variety of OB drills. A new fleet of Hitachi EH4000 trucks is being introduced. These will be in operation by March 2020.

As a member of the Tarrawonga maintenance team you will strive for continuous improvement and ensuring your work standards ad hear to a high level of Health and safety for you and your team mates.

This is a residential role within the Gunnedah basin area.
Candidate Specifications
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
  • Qualified (Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle)
  • Experience with Hitachi, CAT and Heavy Earthmoving equipment is desirable.
  • Experience in the mining industry is (highly desirable)
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards work and safety
  • Full manual drivers licence
  • High Risk Tickets (EWP & Work at Heights / LF / CN / Dogging) are desirable
