With residential DIDO and selected FIFO opportunities available at our operations which are located just outside of Orange, NSW. Who we’re looking for

As Maintenance Technician - Strategy, you will focus on creating and optimising equipment maintenance strategies with the aim to improve safety, production, cost and risk.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Generate life of asset strategies for new equipment with close consultation with the OEM’s to optimise life of asset performance (safety, cost & reliability)
  • Conduct routine inspections and reviews of existing maintenance strategies, processes and procedures to optimise life of asset performance (safety, cost & reliability)
  • Establish standardised operating procedures for corrective and preventative maintenance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through implementing strategy changes generated from the technicians after reviewing their potential impact
  • Leverage technology to advance and automate maintenance programs
  • Track performance, constantly monitor and refine maintenance strategies to ensure the dynamic demands of the business and industry are met
  • Establish a business improvement culture with a key focus on metrics and cost efficiencies

We are looking for qualified, safety-focused and team-oriented individuals with:
  • A relevant Trade qualification
  • A current and valid Australian driver’s license
  • Extensive and proven experience in a similar strategic role within a mobile fleet environment
  • A strong attitude and commitment to workplace health and safety
  • A passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail and exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to liaise with a broad stakeholder base (Newcrest & External Vendors)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance management systems (preference given to SAP experience)
