Job Overview

Support the VP of Sales with selling and renting all product lines; (new & used). Direct and assist the salesmen with establishing competitive pricing and providing customer quotes, to maximize gross margins and minimize after sales costs. This includes field and customer sales support. Provide inventory control and work closely with the Supply Chain Division which encompasses product support logistics. Assist the shop to prioritize deliveries in a timely manner. Required to meet month-end obligations; sales and revenue targets.

Scope

Required to lead and achieve monthly and annual sales goals (market share); Joint Marketing Plan (JMP). While securing double digit margin deals and remaining within budget.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support and lead the divisional salesforce by establishing competitive pricing for sold new, rental conversion and used (trade-in) equipment. Work directly with the manufacturer in requesting additional sales support; discount, warranty, financing, supply chain, ReMarketing and rental. Support the Used Equipment Managers, etc., while optimizing all existing programs (PPL's) and margin.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual market and sales forecasting. Closely monitor and nurture daily and monthly obligated sales targets; JMP.
  • Track all pending deals from the initial quote through the final delivery (decision) and invoicing. Record all wins and losses and maintain monthly coverage reports. Ensure and prioritize all salesmen quotes are released within hours and same day of request. Provide full transparency to field staff.
  • Routinely retrieve and gather market intelligence while working closely with OEM territory manager.
  • Accountable for updating and maintaining E-SPAR / DF activity via extranet; revise / extend and close quotes. Recording results by tracking wins and losses and providing facts / intel
  • Oversee Invoicing Coordinator and invoicing process and ensuring all month-end invoicing obligations are secure and within compliance.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree or related field of ten years or more of related leadership experience
  • Must be able to apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to their everyday work activities where applicable.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong software, systems, and analytical skills.
  • This is an office-based position.
