The Dargues Gold Mine is located in Majors Creek, NSW and situated around an hour's drive from both Canberra and the South Coast. The Dargues Gold Mine represents the first new gold mine to be approved in NSW since Lake Cowal more than 10 years ago.

The project will comprise of underground workings, a run-of-mine (ROM) Pad, temporary waste rock emplacement, crushing facility, gold processing plant, tailings storage facility and associated infrastructure.

  • Develop and manage survey systems and procedures that maximize operational efficiencies;
  • Install and maintain survey control for underground and surface operational requirements;
  • Maintain all survey records and databases;
  • Prepare and maintain accurate survey plans;
  • Conduct End of Month pickups and volume calculations;
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports, reconciliation and reporting.

  • Have a tertiary qualification in surveying or equivalent;
  • 3 years + survey experience in mining or civil industry;
  • Experience with Surpac and Leica surveying equipment;
  • Be a positive contributor and have a can-do attitude;
  • Deswik software experience would be an advantage, but not essential;
  • Registered Mine Surveyor would be an advantage, but not essential;
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. MS office including excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and be self-motivated
