About The Role: Mine Surveyor (Werris Creek)
The Mine Surveyor is accountable for providing survey control for all aspects of the mining operation.

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Mine Surveyor role is multi-faceted and will include duties such as:
  • Maintaining compliance with all statutory laws, company policies and procedures;
  • Understanding and applying mine plans effectively;
  • Providing effective technical support, assistance and advice across departments as required;
  • Completing survey reports and plans;
  • Working with team members to ensure that safety, business and production targets are achieved across the operation.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and personal qualities
  • Aligned to the Values;
  • A minimum of two years’ experience within the open cut coal industry;
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Surveying or similar;
  • Experience using mine planning software;
  • Locally based, or willing to relocate to the area;
  • Positive and team-focused;
  • Strongly committed to safety, the environment and our community;
  • Working to ensure the highest personal standards of behaviour and discipline at all times.

Would be advantageous to be able to use:
  • Vulcan
  • AutoCAD
  • Pix 4D
  • Trimble business centre
  • Knowledge of photogrammetry
  • Knowledge, or experience with the use of GPS, UAV and Scanning Equipment
