About the Role:
Workpac are seeking an experienced Occupational Hygiene Advisor role based at a leading mine site near Darwin, NT.
Working within the Health and Safety team the successful candidate will support the mine operations in management of hygiene exposures including airborne particles, gases/vapours, water, noise, vibration and heat stress. You will come from a mining background with prior experience in occupational hygiene practices. This is a 6 month contract working Monday to Friday 10 hour days. All meals, travel and accommodation will be provided on site.
The role responsibilities includes:
⢠Delivery of the Annual Hygiene Monitoring Plan.
⢠Oversight of hygiene monitoring technicians.
⢠Analysis of hygiene monitoring data.
⢠Preparation of hygiene reports.
⢠Investigate non-compliances and exceedances.
⢠Undertake campaign monitoring for project/ad hoc works.
⢠Provide advice and coaching to operational work fronts on hygiene matters.
Essential Skills for the Role:
⢠Tertiary Science Qualification.
⢠Experience in occupational hygiene practices and systems.
⢠Must have a C Class manual drivers licence.
⢠Ability to work autonomously.
⢠Strong organisation skills and time management.
