We are of the largest thermal coal mines operating in Australia. In our fifteen years of operating we've developed a safe, dynamic and growing environment that thrives on continuous improvement. With us, no job or day is the same, and we never miss an opportunity to share, learn and improve. We're a hands-on team who all pitch in to get the job done. Our culture promotes flexibility, communication and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site, every day.

Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you are a strong and ethical leader with the capacity to develop others. Your strong knowledge and background in mining operations, strata, ground control, mine and geotechnical planning will be key to the success of the production team.

Responsible for the safety and health of all persons and equipment in and around the mining operation you will ensure the application of the Rolleston SHMS through hazard identification and risk management; emergency control and management; thorough safety inspections of surface excavation works and other legislative requirements. You will have the ability to influence and lead a diverse high performing work force to interpret and achieve the mine plan.

To secure this exciting opportunity at Rolleston, you will have an Open Cut Examiner's qualification, experience as an OCE and supervisor, GRM1 and GRM2.
