Glencore Coal Assets Australia is one of Australia's largest coal producers with 16 operational open cut and underground mines across 14 complexes, producing over 103 million tonnes of saleable thermal and coking coal per annum.

An opportunity exists for an Operator Awareness Monitoring Centre Officer based at the newly established Operator Awareness Monitoring Centre located at West Wallsend, NSW. Reporting directly to the Operator Awareness Monitoring Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support, to ensure that the performance of the Operator Awareness System (OAS) event monitoring, system health and other targets are achieved across all GCAA operations.

To be successful in the role you will have basic computer skills and an understanding of open cut mining operations. You have the ability to work in a high pressure and competing priority environment, responding promptly to all events as produced by the OAS, whilst ensuring consistency of event rating is maintained through the utilisation of GCAA TARP's.

You will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal, cooperative and facilitation skills as part of interfacing with various levels of management, external bodies and agencies and apply positive leadership qualities, including good written and communication skills.
