Caterpillar's Environmental Health and Safety internships are focused on building technical competencies within the areas of environmental affairs, industrial hygiene and safety.

This position is a 10 to 15 hour per week assignment during the school year with the opportunity to work 40 hours per week during school breaks and during the summer months located in Lafayette, IN .

Internship Program Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Management, Safety Sciences, Safety Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Safety or other Environmental Health and Safety related degree
  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)
  • Expected graduation date in December 2020, and beyond
  • If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at 4-year university
  • Must be within driving distance of the Lafayette, IN facility
