The Laborer / Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of the Blue Moon Metals project by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and general labor duties across the site. This position is responsible for maintaining site facilities, assisting with equipment and infrastructure repairs, supporting construction and maintenance projects, and ensuring the site remains clean, organized, and operational.
The successful candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and enjoys performing a wide range of hands-on tasks in a dynamic mining environment.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to site buildings, offices, shops, warehouses, fencing, and other facilities.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
- Maintain site roads, parking areas, signage, and grounds to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support snow removal, dust control, vegetation management, and seasonal maintenance activities.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with construction, installation, and relocation of site infrastructure.
- Perform housekeeping duties in work areas, shops, storage yards, and common facilities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist maintenance personnel with inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment repairs.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns.
- Support deliveries, inventory organization, and material handling.
- Assist with site mobilization and demobilization activities as operational needs require.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and training activities.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment deficiencies.
- Maintain clean work areas and support responsible waste management practices.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- One to three years of experience in general maintenance, construction, industrial labor, mining, or related fields preferred.
- Experience operating light equipment, power tools, and maintenance equipment is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or varying schedules as operational needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or other light equipment.
- MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 training (or ability to obtain).
- First Aid/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain).
