Transport Projects, a division of Downer's Australian Operations Business continues to secure further opportunities Nationally as we continue to build on our reputation of meeting and delivering on Australia's major Transportation needs.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and based in our Canning Vale office, this is a vital and exciting role in which you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our current project pipeline. You will be responsible for planning and executing projects on time and within budget. As the Project Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the project site employees, designers, subcontractors and assist the Operations Manager with meeting project objectives (safety, time, cost, and quality).

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management.
  • Demonstrable and successful project/construction experience / capability in a similar environment with 5 + years' experience gained at this level.
  • Demonstrable experience in civil / rail construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders /clients, peers and colleagues.
  • Proven project management experience and project discipline to deliver project outcomes reliably.
  • Ability to manage contract performance and implement effective mitigation strategies to prevent unforeseen margin adjustments.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability that strives towards the commitment to Zero Harm.
