CSA Mine is a high-grade underground copper mine located in Cobar, Central Western NSW. Employing over 300 people, CSA Mine is now looking for a new member to join the team. We are currently looking for an experienced Projects Superintendent to join our Projects Team. This role is offered on an 18 month fixed term contract. Responsibilities
  • Carry out project management activities & supervision of construction works
  • Ensure all key stakeholders are involved and updated throughout the complete project process
  • Provide engineering support, technical assistance, input, alterations and additions in line with the site's procedures/standards/policies
  • Follow through and close out all Requests for Information (RFIs) and Technical Queries (TQs)
  • Ensure all key drawings and documentations are revised in a timely manner before the stage of the project progresses
  • Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) process are incorporated into the electrical, instrumentation and control system designs and implemented. Participate in the completion of the process by reviewing and signing Field Inspection Checklists (FICs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) where necessary.
  • Active participation in Risk Assessments (including but not limited to Design, Functional Safety, Hazards and Operability Analysis (HAZOPS), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Construction, Commissioning, etc.) with the project, operational and contractor personnel, including the on-time execution of improvement actions
  • Evaluation of opportunities and value adding items
  • Provide engineering support for the establishment of work methodologies, schedules and budgets for construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance
  • Follow through execution of punch-lists
  • Actively engage discussions with contractors and project team on progress in relation to schedule
  • Maintain accurate and up to date reports and records of all project management activities
  • Ensure a safe working environment for CSA employees and contractors by correct application of HSET procedures and effective use of CSA systems
  • Timely review of project documentation in accordance within allocated turnaround timeframes
  • Actively participate in Operational Readiness processes to ensure project are set up for a smooth transition to the end user

  • Proven experience in mining industry is advantageous
  • Experience with Ore Processing Mill replacement project is advantageous
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Self-management and document management skills

This residential role is offered on a Monday to Friday roster .
