PYBAR Mining Services is the Mine Operator of the Dargues Gold Mine, located in Majors Creek NSW overseeing the entire mining process from scheduling, mine design, excavation and processing. Dargues Gold Mine represents the first new gold mine to be approved in NSW since Lake Cowal more than 10 years ago. The project will comprise of underground workings, a run-of-mine (ROM) Pad, temporary waste rock emplacement, crushing facility, gold processing plant, tailings storage facility and associated infrastructure.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Safety and Training Coordinator who is safety focused, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a dynamic team in a newly developing underground hard rock mine

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Coach and mentor employees and management of WH&S, encourage safe behaviour through observations and demonstration of proactive safety actions;
  • Conduct training and assess competency levels of employees;
  • Coordinate occupational hygiene assessments;
  • Identify and management risk assessments;
  • Maintain and improve WH&S systems and compliance;
  • Maintain the site training matrix;
  • Assist in the management of injuries and rehabilitation of injured workers;
  • Assist with facilitation of ERT training and recruitment; and
  • Lead incident analysis.

ABOUT YOU
  • Relevant WH&S Qualifications (Minimum Cert IV or Advanced Diploma);
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment;
  • Strong understanding of mine site & legislative WH&S requirements;
  • A minimum of 2 years mining industry experience;
  • Preferred experience in underground mining;
  • Excellent verbal & non-verbal Communication Skills;
  • Self-motivated individual who possess a can-do attitude and a willingness to be part of an effective team.
