Location:
MEC-Transportation has projects in cities across the US, so our people must be willing to go where the work is. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date. Our operations include:
• Signal systems
• Overhead contact systems
• Traction power
• Communication systems

Primary Responsibilities:
• Implement and oversee the Project Safety Program including the development of site safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct training, including new hire orientation and safety meetings.
• Monitor all heavy industrial construction work for compliance with safety requirements.
• Certification as a Safety Professional or Emergency Medical Technician is also desired.
• Embody the Kiewit approach to safety, being constantly aware of conditions and work practices, being empowered to stop all unsafe work when needed.

Qualifications:
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial or equivalent degree/work experience
• 15 or more years' relevant construction experience with a minimum of eight or more years' EHS management.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Current HAZWOPER and LOTO training.
• Confined Space permit.
• Ability to work in highly specific work environment (excavations/tunnels) and around related equipment.
• Willingness to relocate to project sites across the USA and/or Canada for an extended period of time..

• Fast-paced office environment.
• Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively.
• Regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen.
• Occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
