Job Overview

Sr. Account Manager needed at the Troutdale, OR facility.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and be an advocate for safety
  • Drive and solicit sales to achieve targeted volume and margins. Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic plans to optimize the company's competitive advantage and ensure long term growth in the company's profitability.
  • Create and strengthen relationships with prospects and customers. Determine sales leads and prospect lists, prepare and conduct sales presentations stressing value selling and being solution minded. Develop quotations, pricing and product recommendations and follow-up information within deadlines and commitment dates.
  • Liaise with Technical Services, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Accounting and other departments. Advise of technical issues, customer concerns, commercial issues, market and competitor information, potential solutions or product enhancements to mitigate negative impact and protect or grow the overall business.
  • Provide guidance to customers regarding product and process capabilities, value added services, order status and warranty questions. Serve as the primary point of contact between the factory and customer.


Education / Qualification

  • This position requires a four (4) year degree in Business (Marketing preferred) or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Prior technical sales experience with an ability to work independently and prioritize potential sales and technical engineering specifications effectively with respect to business impact.
  • A thorough product understanding relative to technical terminology, methods of production, industry research and accepted engineering practices.
  • Requires an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people both internal and external to the organization, while building strong relationships.
  • Relevant safety training must be achieved and maintained to allow access to customer sites.
  • Ability to set priorities and achieve company goals while working largely independently.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate specification and application data, tolerances and industry practices and standards.
  • Able to travel on relatively short notice to react quickly to a dynamic environment.
