With residential DIDO and selected FIFO opportunities available at our operations which are located just outside of Orange, NSW. Who we’re looking for

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor and Electrical Specialist, you will be accountable for managing the Electrical team on site. You will provide supervision, technical support and training.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage up to 5 electricians on site to ensure a high-caliber of work is maintained
  • Liaise with supervisors to provide direction and support to workers to achieve set goals
  • Organise materials and delegate workload appropriately to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with co-ordination, management and scheduling of particular activities to ensure that equipment and resources are efficiently utilised to meet production outcomes
  • Act as a mediator between workers and management, undertaking safety and hazard assessments and ensuring employees comply with OHS requirements
  • Ensure company and OH&S site requirements including reporting
  • Test and commission installations, including completing Certificate of Compliance paperwork
  • Provide training and mentoring to all team members, including apprentices
  • Oversee and manage all aspects, from project commencement to completion

We are looking for hands-on and results-driven individuals who have:
  • NSW Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Extensive and proven experience in a similar role within an Underground Mining experience
  • Some demonstrated leadership or 2IC experience
  • Ability to read site plans
  • Sound knowledge of all facets of electrical trades, including regulations and standards
  • A strong attitude and commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for working as part of a team and team development
  • Medium level computer skills and experience in the MS Office suite of programs highly regarded
