Reporting to the Operations Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading a small team of professionals tasked with design and scheduling of dragline, load, haul, drill and blast activities. You will be responsible for delivering realistic and achievable production schedules, coordination of rehabilitation activities and leading business improvement projects for the Technical Services Team.

To enable you to optimise our operational practices and business performance you will be a strong communicator with extensive experience in open cut mining, preferably with dragline experience. As a new leader in the business, you will have the ability to demonstrate the Glencore values by the way you work collaboratively with colleagues and relevant stakeholders, and it will be your responsibility to ensure that the safety and health management system is a focus in all aspects of design, planning and implementation.

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering combined with your work achievements will demonstrate your understanding, and passion for improvement of the mining process and systems. Proficiency with in Spry scheduling package & Vulcan Mine Design and Reserving will be highly regarded, along with experience with Gantt Scheduler, 3D Dig, DataBlast and Excel VBA. A minimum of two years experience in a similar role is desirable and the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead and coach dragline design within the engineering team.
