Electrical Superintendent

Olympic Dam Mine | FIFO 14/14 | Career Growth + Stability

Located ~550km north west of Adelaide, Olympic Dam (BHP) is a world class mining site producing copper, gold, and uranium. As part of Redpath, one of the largest contractors on site, you'll play a key role in delivering high performance underground operations-while accelerating your leadership career.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

As Electrical Superintendent, you will lead, mentor, and coordinate electrical teams to safely deliver project outcomes while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate electrical crews across installation, maintenance, testing, and repairs
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and Work Procedures
  • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Drive safety culture, ensuring correct PPE and safe work practices
  • Contribute hands on when required-troubleshooting, installing, and repairing equipment
  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching and performance management
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively, including scheduling and forecasting
  • Prepare cost forecasts and align with maintenance plans
  • Build strong relationships with client representatives onsite


Qualifications

What You Bring
  • Trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (Electrical preferred)
  • Proven experience in underground mining
  • Leadership experience managing crews in high risk environments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Current driver's licence & ability to obtain National Police Clearance
  • A proactive, can do mindset aligned with our motto:
