Project:                       Pan American Silver - La Colorada Skarn Decline

Location: Sombrerete, Zacataceas Mexico

Rotation:                    20 days on 10 days off

Shift Length:           12 hours

Travel:                          Kilometers paid

Accommodation:  Camp Setting

Pre-employment Requirements:

• Previous experience on underground haul trucks as Sandvik, Epiroc or Caterpillar

• Drug test

Certification:

• Mine Rescue experience is an asset

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Haulage Truck Operator is to operate mining equipment to load, haul and dump ore or waste from development and/or production area in a safe manner

Requirement:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Basic literacy (read, write, basic math) required

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience running heavy equipment machinery

• Proof of DC-3 training in safe operation of haul trucks an asset.

• Experience operating 30 to 50 ton underground trucks

• Ability to multitask and work effectively

• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

• Knowledge of truck and equipment safety

• Knowledge of operation of front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors and other pieces of heavy equipment

• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage

• Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques

• Knowledge of record keeping system

• Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

General:

• Refuel, check coolant and engine and hydraulic oils, lubricate all points and complete standard daily check forms and drives equipment to and from work area

• Visually inspects, sounds, scales and washes down work area, if required

• Operates manual and remote scoop tram to load bucket with ore/waste; hauls to dump or loads onto truck, and transports mine supplies

• Advances vent tubing, installs or removes air and water pipes to facilitate own work

• Operate traffic control signals where applicable and respond to signals to prevent a vehicle accident

• Completes daily log book on equipment and submits written and verbal reports

• Report progress and any unusual occurrences to supervisor

• Maintains working area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

• Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner

Health and Safety:

• Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment

• Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor

• Responsible for the use and maintenance of all safety equipment, i.e.  Lanyards, warning signs and labeling, according to company rules and applicable legislation.

• Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.

• Must have knowledge of the NOM Standards and know how to effectively use SDS sheets.
