ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 is anticipated to be the last year of the Meadowbank mine production and it is now transitioning to process the satellite deposit Amaruq for August 2019.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Process Plant Supervisor, the Process Plant Utility Person is part of the Process Plant Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. He/she will follow good practices in the Crusher sector of the Process Plant, ensuring that the operations/metallurgy procedures, parameters and KPI's are followed. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Perform specific tasks according to the shutdown planning, such as cleaning (areas/equipment), lock-out/tag-out, and supporting the maintenance team when required;
  • Perform daily crushing work, such as inspecting, greasing and operating the crushers and rock breakers;
  • Ensure that conveyors, compressors, dust collectors and screens are clear and in good condition, taking action if anomalies are detected;
  • Fill reports relating to the work area;
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
  • Report all accidents to the supervisor;
  • Apply best operation practices in everyday tasks with attention to the budget and cost control;
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
