YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Exploration Geology Superintendent, the Exploration Geolology Coordinator is part of the Exploration team and works on all our exploration activities at Hope Bay. The incumbent will play an important role in managing the Exploration team and programs, supervising and participating in drill hole planning, geological interpretation and 3D modelling, exploration target generation, core logging/sampling, will ensure compliance with QA/QC protocols and prepare reports. He will ensure that objectives are met in accordance with Agnico Eagle's culture, health & safety and environment standards.
  • Plan and supervise diamond drilling programs;
  • Participate in the geological interpretation and in the 3D modelling;
  • Import assay results into databases and models;
  • Ensure that QA/QC protocols are respected;
  • Create, validate and implement various operating procedures;
  • Daily follow-up, supervision of contractors and invoice validation;
  • Participate in employee evaluations;
  • Ensure the effective transfer of information between shifts;
  • Ensure that all AEM H&S and environmental policies are respected by all employees and contractors at all times and locations.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in exploration. Knowledge of orogenic gold deposits is an asset; strong understanding of structural geology is also an asset;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team;
  • Knowledge of Leapfrog and ArcGIS is an strong asset;
  • Knowledge of DHLogger/Fusion is an asset;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).

Schedule: 21 days of work, followed by 21 days for transportation and rest, departure from Edmonton. Protocol in place for Covid 19.
