ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating at Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 marked the last year of production at the Meadowbank mine, and has since transitioned to process ore from the Amaruq satellite deposit. With the official opening of the Amaruq Whale Tail Project in August 2019, the project is now referred to as the Meadowbank Complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the IT Coordinator, the IT Analyst is part of the IT-OT Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Design and put in place solutions to resolve technical and global issues;
  • Develop, design and follow standard departmental procedures;
  • Propose and design technical improvement solutions for the department;
  • Maintain documentation and network diagrams;
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues;
  • Research questions using available information resources;
  • Propose technical orientation for the department;
  • Manage and coordinate IT/OT projects;
  • Support IT/OT Technicians;
  • Advise the supervisor on appropriate actions and decisions;
  • Ensure network security on the different infrastructures of the site.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Excellent leadership and self-sufficiency skills, as well as strong planning abilities;
  • Ability to work under high pressure and stay focused in emergency situations;
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions based on different factors (cost, timeliness, durability);
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients;
  • Mastery knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office/365 products and suites;
  • Mastery knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory;
  • Excellent knowledge of Network Routers, Switches and VoIP Call Managers, Firewalls and Network Accelerators;
  • Excellent knowledge of VMWare Products;
  • Excellent knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN);
  • Excellent knowledge of Satellite System installation (Mainly C-Band using QPSK Modulation);
  • Good knowledge of RF system (VHF Radio, Repeaters, Filtration, Microwave Design);
  • Good engineering knowledge of RF Link Budget Calculations;
  • Good knowledge of QoS Concept, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n and IEEE 802.1X;
  • Strong ability to communicate in English. Selected candidates may be required to attain a passing mark on a SPEEXX English language assessment.
