ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating at Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 marked the last year of production at the Meadowbank mine, and has since transitioned to process ore from the Amaruq satellite deposit. With the official opening of the Amaruq Whale Tail Project in August 2019, the project is now referred to as the Meadowbank Complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Clerk is part of the Supply Chain Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. The incumbent will be responsible to use their experience for the key roles within the warehouse (Maintenance Kitting, Backhaul, Logistics, Transit Pad, etc.). This role is not an entry level position and existing knowledge and experience in these areas are required to be considered. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Operate a key service function of the warehouse based on years of experience and knowledge;
  • Operate various equipment (telehandler, skid steer, forklift, etc.);
  • Ensure the satisfaction of the stakeholders based on the service level at your key area;
  • Will be part of the development and succession planning for the department;
  • Plan and coordinate deliverables as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor;
  • Be accountable for the functionality of your key area and specialized focus;
  • Review processes and procedures associated with your key functions and focus on continuous improvement strategies / projects in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor;
  • Maintain strict inventory controls to ensure optimal results;
  • Use JDE software: for work orders, parts requests, transfers, contractor issues, item availability, inventory transaction history, repairable parts, and more;
  • Be the contact point of your key function within the warehouse career path;
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment while complying with all safety procedures, rules and regulations.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • College degree in relevant field is preferred;
  • 2-3 years working in Warehouse / Logistics role is required;
  • Remote site experience / rotational experience a must;
  • High level of working knowledge of JDE for the key areas of the warehouse a requirement;
  • Previous counter, receiving, cycle count experience required;
  • Possess excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Contractor management and stakeholder relationship experience an asset;
  • Must have strong analytic, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Managerial skills and experience an asset;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written). Selected candidates must attain a passing mark on the SPEEXX English language assessment.

Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d'Or, Quebec.
