ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating at Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 marked the last year of production at the Meadowbank mine, and has since transitioned to process ore from the Amaruq satellite deposit. With the official opening of the Amaruq Whale Tail Project in August 2019, the project is now referred to as the Meadowbank Complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the E&I Superintendent, the Accommodations General Supervisor plays an important role in the daily operation of 2 main camps of about 400 rooms each separated by 80km of road. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the effective management of accommodations, transportation, and food service, while respecting Agnico Eagle's company culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Responsible for overall performance of the camp and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction;
  • Coordinate camp activities to ensure best practices in terms of Guest Services and provide maximum satisfaction to guests;
  • Manage room allocation, employee transportation and food service using camp management software;
  • Develop training and implement career paths within the Camp department;
  • Implement and deliver a high-quality menu plan, while respecting the budget;
  • All other management duties.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Diploma or Degree in Management or other related fields;
  • 10 years of experience in facilities management in hotels, resorts or remote camp sites;
  • Managerial skills are required;
  • Contract management experience;
  • Possess excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Must have strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written). Selected candidates must attain a passing mark on the SPEEXX English language assessment.

Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d'Or, Quebec.
