ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating at Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 marked the last year of production at the Meadowbank mine, and has since transitioned to process ore from the Amaruq satellite deposit. With the official opening of the Amaruq Whale Tail Project in August 2019, the project is now referred to as the Meadowbank Complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Survey Leader, the Surveyor is part of the Engineering Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. The incumbent will prioritize and execute on most of the mine production tasks. They must be able to work independently as well as in a team, with the ability to show autonomy to help clients identify the next steps for the production in addition to ensuring adequate service quality.

The Surveyor must recognize, analyze and adapt differences between design and field realities, as well as being able to communicate specifics to the different clients involved. They will assist the Survey Leader with other special demands/requests from different clients. They may be called to do a night shift as the survey service is provided on a 24-hourbasis at the mine site. The Surveyor will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
